FAQs
Do you have a physical office space I can visit?
I am a virtual provider and all sessions will be completed online. I do not have a physical office space for clients to visit. Please click here to visit my online waiting room for you assessment and sessions.
How long should I expect to work with you?
Everyone’s needs are different. I would expect to have weekly sessions for approximately 3-12 months, depending on your needs. Please know that my main goal is for you NOT to need me, and I am here for you when you do.
What makes you qualified?
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of Indiana (34010240A). I received my Bachelors in Psychology from Webster University and then went on to get my Master’s in Social Work from Saint Louis University. Following graduation I moved to Nashville, TN where I worked in community mental health, residential addiction treatment, and inpatient acute mental health care. Life then took me to Portland, OR where I was trained at Portland DBT Institute. There I was fortunate to work on the path to mindful eating team. I have completed many hours of training in DBT, Health at Every Size, Mindfulness, and Perinatal Mood Disorders.
Do you accept insurance?
I am not currently paneled with any insurance companies. Please click here for more about my fees. As a reminder, therapy is an investment in your future, and you are worth it.
Can we work together if I do not live in Indiana?
Current law requires that I only see clients in states where I am licensed. Due to these requirements, I am only allowed to see clients who reside in Indiana. Additionally, that includes vacations - so when you are out of state we will be required to reschedule until you’re back in Indiana.
What is your therapeutic approach?
Learning, keeping up with research, and providing evidence-based practice is important to me. I really like to balance both the art and science of therapy. I don’t believe you can have one without the other. At the same time, my credentials don’t tell you a whole lot about what it’s like to work with me. Our relationship and you feeling safe with me is my main priority. I use elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I utilize mindfulness-based approaches to help my clients connect their mind and their body to their surroundings. I am a Health at Every Size (HAES) clinician. I am continuously looking for new opportunities to grow and become a better clinician in order to best support the work I do.
